Western Bulldogs have been struck by another player availability blow with a key defender set to miss the start of the season.
Full back Liam Jones suffered a high-grade hamstring injury during a match simulation on the Gold Coast.
The 33-year-old is expected to be out for 8-10 weeks meaning he will miss the start of the season and also the Indigenous All Stars match on February 15.
It’s been a incident-laden pre-season for the Bulldogs, who are still unsure of the availability of star forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.

Ugle-Hagan is currently absent with personal issues and there is date set for his return to full training at the club.
Gun midfielder Adam Treloar will miss the opening rounds of the season with a calf injury, while Jason Johannisen (hamstring) and Anthony Scott (knee) are also in significant doubt for Round 1.
The Bulldogs open their season in Round 1 against North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Saturday, March 15.
