This weekend’s UFC Fight Night delighted fans of contact sports and mixed martial arts in the highly anticipated event at the Galaxy Arena in Macau, China. The excitement promised to be overflowing, especially with a stellar fight between two of the UFC’s bantamweight division figures, Russia’s Petr Yan and Brazil’s Deiveson Figueiredo.
The fighters wanted just one chance to contend for the title add with this fact much more salt to this broth, also seasoned with a meeting of the opposite sex in the co-main event, starring Tabatha Ricci and Yan Xiaonan.
The purse for the main and co-main event
According to totalprosports, Russian Petr Yan’s income is not expected to be as juicy as in his previous fight against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 259, where he took home just over half a million dollars, and the explanation for this ‘drop’ is that this UFC Fight Night is not a PPV.
This is the same argument that applies to his rival, the Brazilian Figueiredo, who will go from earning almost $650,000 in his last fight with Brandon Moreno at UFC 256, to lowering his economic expectations to about $250,000.
For her part, Yan Xiaonan could expect a maximum of about $180,000, just over half of what she earned at UFC 300, while Tabatha Ricci will only be able to access $100,000.
In all four cases, the classic performance bonuses that they can earn if they win their fights are not considered.
