The NBA In-Season Tournament semifinal game between the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers was supposed to have a fun matchup between LeBron James and Zion Williamson. Ever since he was at Duke, Zion has been hyped up as a generational telant but the kid was completely absent from an important game on Thursday. The result of that game was a Lakers win by 44 point, with Zion scoring only 13 points. A clip from that game shows a completely unbothered Zion leading an attack from the Pelicans and quickly losing possession of the ball. It was only normal that reports of his recent behavior would start coming out after such a major embarassment.
Zion Williamson odes not listen to the coaching staff
An explosive report from NOLA.com’s Christian Clark claims that the player is constantly told to work on his diet and conditioning and he doesn’t listen to anybody. Even he admitted after the loss that he needs to be more aggressive on the court but this report about his diet was never acknowledged or mentioned. Last Thursday’s result is yetanother wake up call for all those who keep believing Zion Williamson has changed his ways and is more responsible towards the institution that pays him. People don’t tend to change their habits overnight. Zion Williamson is just the latest example of that, he needs to go through a process.
Also, folks on the X platform have been roasting Zion for different reasons, the main one is his alleged predilection to party. The In-Season Tournament was played in Las Vegas and people can’t help but think his poor performance is due to the night life at Sin City. In a clip before the game, Zion simply smiled when asked what he and his teammates would do if they won the trophy. That mischief in his grin should be more than enough to let people realize he is still up to no good.
